Gothic Chasuble

White chasuble with pelican. The pelican is the symbol of the sacrifice of Christ on the cross (and in the Eucharist) because it was believed the pelican would pierce her breast to feed her young with her own blood. Manufactured in Tassilo-damask fabric. Front - elegant combination of brocade orphrey with gold woven grapevine motif and a beautiful hand embroidered emblem. Back - orphrey brocade only - no emblem. Chasuble, with roll-colar "4", width 59" (150 cm), length 49" (125 cm); with inside stole. All chasubles are special made in Belgium, please allow 4-6 weeks for delivery!
